Bleach

"Ulquiorra Schiffer" - Wanted to do some more manipping. Wanted to do something Bleach-related. Always love torturing Bloomsie.

So there he is.

"Grimmjoww Jeagerjacques" - I wanted to do a Grimmy, but couldn't think who to use as the base. Then I caught a glimpse of the "China Girl" video on tv. 'Nuff said.

Final Fantasy VII

The Great General Sephiroth - I've been wanting to do him (in more ways than one) for a while now. Finally found a head that could pass for Seph. Much fiddling until I was happy with the result you see here.

UPDATE: After much soul searching and aching eyeballs, I've decided I don't like the picture I made of Sephiroth. Specifically, I don't like his hair. Originally, I went with canon and gave him the Bangs-that-Defy-Gravity™. However after looking at it for a while, my logic said to me, "You know what...he's got to be the world's #1 hair gel consumer. How long does that take him every morning? Or does he only do it for special 'I'm going to destroy the world today' occassions?" Therefore, thusly, so on and so forth, I have redone him with a more realistic 'do. For those who are canon freaks and believe he simply must have the Bangs-of-Doom™, I still have the old "Bangs" version here.

After Easter is Memorial Day. A day where we reflect on those who gave their lives to protect our country...and yet the only thing I see/hear/experience at this time of year is car sales, shoe sales, department store sales, sales on sales, and yet more sales. And don't forget, if you show up in camo, you get an extra discount! [Sarcasm] Just what our brave men and women have always wanted...to pimp themselves for an extra %10 off something they probably don't want in the first place. [/Sarcasm]

This is part of my Final Fantasy VII Holidays cartoons. However my muses didn't like cartoons for this subject, so it's a manip. I could not for the life of me find a decent pic of Zack, so I had to rip an image from my DVD. I think it works well.

The Lord of the Rings

My most ambitious project to date...Found a lovely pic of a woman riding a horse, and it just screamed to be turned into Eowyn on horseback.
Warning She's topless, so I'd give it a PG13 rating.

Rabbit - One of the last known survivors of a race of Elves forgotten from history. Mordor was once a green place where the Plains Elves lived happily...Then evil forces destroyed their home and corrupted their people. Rabbit escaped that horrible fate and roamed Middle Earth...alone, forgotten, but never forgetting. He went to Helm's Deep to honor his people's memory. An injury led him to meet Haldir, gravely wounded in that same battle.

Want to learn more about Rabbit and the Mordorians Plains Elves? Visit the Magic Rat's fanfic site here.

Frost - Rabbit's adult child and only other survivor of his family. The Wood Elves raised the fair-colored Frost, thinking he was one of them. Frost himself didn't know how different he was until he turned up pregnant!

Lindir - The much-proclaimed Oldest Elfling in All of Arda. Having lost her husband, Lindir's mother locked him away and refused to let him grow up lest he should go off and get himself killed too. Though well past the age of majority, Lindir is still a child, emotionally stunted by his selfish mother.

Lindir's favorite toy and best friend is Miss Goose, one of the last gifts his father gave him. She is stuffed with real goose feathers and sports an outfit for every occasion. On this occasion, Lindir decided to host a private tea party for just the two of them. Unfortunately, he decided the best place for this tea party was Lord Elrond's private study! Having already decided that breaking and entering was okay, he also filched the best silver service he could find. Nothing is too good for Miss Goose!

Lindir is also part of Magic Rat's universe.

Amaris - Son of Oropher, and elder brother of Thranduil. Once the heir to Mirkwood, his untimely death (via flaming Gil-Galad) put Thranny on the throne. In the Halls of Mandos he spent several thousand years listening to Gil gripe about his circumstances. (Not that he had much room to complain. "Your flaming corpse landed on my head! Hello!!!") When the High King finally made a run for it, Amaris (loyal friend and counsellor) followed. Now back in the mortal plane (but freed from any royal obligations by aformentioned death), Amaris can play tag with the nasties roaming around his beloved home as often as he pleases.

For more of Amaris's story, visit Master Erestor's site Vanilla Elf.

Rabbit is a little possessive of his Haldir.
WARNING: Slash (M/M homoerotic pairing)

I also have an uncropped full frontal version here.

A stranger is in Rivendell. At first glance, he seems to be the Prince of Mirkwood, but his harsh behavior and foul mouth say otherwise. Lawrence Wood grew up in a world where Sauron was never defeated, and orcs reign supreme. A lifetime of living in filth and breathing poison has dulled the golden body of the handsome elf. A lifetime of oppression and abuse has embittered his soul. He performs his duties as one of Sauron's top assassins with perfunctory efficiency, uncaring who or why he has to kill. Now Lawrence sits in Rivendell. A place supposedly destroyed long before his birth; instead, it teems with happy lives untouched by the horrors he has lived through. Will he find peace here? Or will he do as he as always done: serve his master and kill all in his way.

I've had this idea for a piece of fanfic for a while now. I may or may not write it...not sure. It's bound to be long and complex, and goodness knows it takes forever for me to get out new chapters for the fic I'm already writing. Fic aside, I love this picture.

Aiglos, once the mighty spear of Gil-Galad, has been cut down to no more than a long knife. The Elven inscriptions that wove spells of strength and protection have been ground off to prevent orcs seizing it as 'contraband.' Now Lawrence wields it to deadly effect. It is his favorite weapon in close quarters, but for long-range attack, nothing beats his trusty pistol.

The folk of Rivendell have never seen such a weapon before. Consequently they have neither fear of it, nor of Lawrence when he angrily asks, "Who the fuck are you calling Legolas?"

Well, I did it...I've started writing "Hero." It's a tentative title, but it fits for now. I've put it on the FanFic page.

AU Legolas again - "On a sunny afternoon in Rivendell, Lawrence reflects on the horror his life has been...and how it shouldn't have been that way."

I had a plot bunny nipping at my heals to write more than just one sentence for this pic, but it seems muses and bunnies are not agreeing on mediums lately. ::dramatic sigh:: Oh well, maybe later.

Annatar, Sauron the Fair. Once gleaming in white brilliance, his beauty has started to tarnish from the evil within.

Joaquin Phoenix is playing the part of Annatar. I may do a series of this concept...not sure.

"Deeper into Darkness" - Here we see Annatar further along the path to evil. His hair is darker and coarser. His skin is beginning to decay. The changes frighten him, but he is staying the course. For how else will he achieve the power he craves?

I'm thinking of one last image for this series. One where he has given up "Annatar" and fully embraced himself as Sauron. No idea when it will happen, but at least it's in my head. That's one of the hardest parts of my manipping process.

"The Ecstasy" - The last remnants of goodness have been burned away, and only Sauron remains. He has forged his master ring, the One Ring. He slips it on for the first time and experiences the ecstasy that only absolute power can bring.

My final Joaquin as Annatar/Sauron...and my favorite of this series.

"Legolas shrieked and squirmed, but it was of no use. His sister and her twin were more like their father than he, larger and stronger. And they never tired of demonstrating it. Within a very short time he was shoved back into the hallway once more, dressed in a pink party gown, his hair in bows, and his face beautifully made up. He stood, seething with rage, listening to the two evil females cackling within their chamber in glee."

I found this dress image, and this scene from "The Last Homely House" popped into my head. Legolas's sisters, Veet and Liritar, are also part of Magic Rat's universe. Edit: I have recently learned that Veet and Liritar are in fact not part of Magic Rat's universe. They are actual people and friends to the dear Rattie, whom she decided to write into her fanfic....Be afraid.

Thranduil, the oft-celebrated Tyrant of Mirkwood™, isn't always a grump. Sometimes (much to the frustration and embarrassment of his son) he can be absolutely playful. "Wanna see my tattoo?"

Ralph Fiennes is playing the part of Thranduil. I'll let you decide to whom he is talking.

"The First Morning After..." - Youthful Lindir has his first lover - none other than Fingolfin, returned from Mandos's Halls! They've had an exciting night, but it's morning now. Fingolfin has a busy day ahead of him, so he's up and about to get dressed, but for the moment, he's just admiring the lovely morning. Lindir is still dreaming, lost in hazy bliss.

WARNING: Implied Slash (M/M homoerotic pairing)

Once again, Lindir is part of Magic Rat's universe.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl

The Rum Fairy tempts an innocent Angel. Note the rum-tinted wings for Jack.

Yes, I am a geek...but a geek proud of her lightsaber effects.

Two inspirations from one picture. The first one I call "I'll get you, my pretty...and your little boat too!!!" The second is simply "Monkey Love."

"The Rum Fairy Returns." Alternate titles are "Hangin' Out" and "Where the Bloody Hell is My Rum?!" It's hard to tell, but I gave him different wings than the first RF pic. Not sure which set I like better.

Pitch Black

It's true, I swear it.

Stargate SG-1

Not quite as ambitious. I think sweet, adorable Dr. Daniel Jackson would make a marvelous wood-elf. So I grafted his face onto one of the stunning works of art over at Theban Band.

Star Wars
Episode I:
The Phantom Menace

A little something I painted up.

A Strange Place in Time

by Alyx J. Shaw

Blackbird - This is a portrait of Blackbird, one of the main characters from A Strange Place in Time. SPIT is one of Magic Rat's original fics (in other words, no Tolkien). It's a great read, and if rumor is true, she's nearly finished with the last chapter.

The part of Blackbird is being played by Orlando Bloom. If he looks...uhm off, it's because I put Bloomsie's face through warping filter to make him look much younger. Despite being a 1,000 year old wizard-king, poor Blackbird was -on at least one occasion- mistaken for a 14 year old girl.

Orlando Bloom

I couldn't resist poking a little fun at Orli. If you can't tell, I put Orlando Bloom's face on a model's body.

I've been on a fantasy kick lately. Decided to try turning Orlando into a merman. Not happy with the fish, but they were necessary to cover the fact that he doesn't have a hand. However, am ecstatic about the tail. Took me forever to get the scales done.

Another Mer-Orlando...Mer-Lando.

My first centaur...a dancing centaur...who looks suspiciously like a certain Trojan prince. Hmm...

Original Art

"The Blue/Green Depths" - Far from the eyes of Man, two lovers come together in the gentle caress of the Sea.
